John is an experienced radiation oncologist with over 40 years of expertise in diagnosing and treating breast cancer and DCIS. He trained at both Sydney and Harvard Universities.

He was the founding director of BreastScreen Western Sydney, the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute, and the ALERT Lymphoedema Centre at Macquarie University.

He consults at ICON Cancer Centre in Sydney, located within the award-winning Sydney Adventist Hospital Integrated Cancer Centre in Wahroonga. He treats patients in Wahroonga, Norwest Sydney, and the Central Coast.

He has published more than 200 research and clinical articles and he consults with patients across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

In 2017 he was awarded a Member (AM) in the Order of Australia.
